It's a Breadstick for your Breadboard!

The Raspberry Breadstick Lite is exactly as it appears, a lite version of the Raspberry Breadstick! Perfect for when you need a breadstick without all the extra bells and whistles. This lite version comes without the high speed LEDs and IMU, but we've made the IMU available separately as an I2C Crouton. It's open-source hardware; we invite you to explore the design files in its GitHub repository. It has a tailor-made CircuitPython distribution, but can also run Arduino and MicroPython.

Breadsticks are meant to free people from the constraints of messy jumper wires, so they can focus on creativity and bringing their ideas to life. What makes it different is that its I/O pins are spaced out evenly along its length, rather than bunched together; all the wires you'd normally use to breakout out pins to empty prototyping areas of your breadboard are contained within. CircuitPython makes programming microcontrollers much simpler than before, and the Breadstick form factor simplifies the hardware aspect without abandoning the prototyping paradise that a solderless breadboard can be. With a Breadstick, you'll make fewer mistakes, and the mistakes you do make will be easier to spot. We aimed to create a product that is simple enough for beginners to use, but not overly simplistic or restrictive, classroom-friendly and equipped for advanced users. Our Breadsticks come with the header pins pre-soldered, so they're ready to go directly into your breadboard.
